Township Newsletter: Keeping A Clean Township
Welcome to our May Township Newsletter!
This one features township supervisor and chairman Chris, who writes to you today about the trash in our ditches and keeping our township clean:
-----
Hello Turtle River!
What a beautiful area we live in! Not only that, but we have such great citizens in Turtle River Township.
As we enjoy the warmer weather and see that the snow has melted, the trash in the ditches has also emerged. We do have some local organizations and generous citizens who volunteer to do Adopt-A-Highway ditch clean-ups, which is greatly appreciated by all. However, we also have secondary and small roads that also accumulate trash, and these roads rarely receive an organized day for ditch cleanup. Please help by picking up a piece or two when you notice some. After all, many hands make light work!
If you view the attached photo, you can see the amount of trash from one of our side roads my wife and I cleaned up a few weeks ago. Although this is an excessive amount of trash (see attached photo), this is from one, yes ONE, side road in our township.
Let's lend Mother Nature a hand and keep our beautiful township clean by not littering, and if you get a chance, pick up a piece or two of trash nearby.
Thank you for being an incredible township full of caring individuals! Lets all, as they say, "Give a Hoot and Don't Pollute!"
Feel free to reach out to me at turtleriversup4@gmail.com anytime with your questions or concerns.
Thank You,
Chris Justice
