This month’s article is brought to you by Chris, our board chair.
As I look out and see the snow and ponder living in what I consider to be the best township in Beltrami County, I am grateful. I know Thanksgiving was a month ago and we are all probably still reeling from Christmas and New Years, but I feel grateful. We have been busy at recent board meetings and public information meetings about various topics. What I have taken away is our township folks are very educated and level-headed when it comes to topics about our township.

We have a very passionate and thorough board that cares about what we do. We also have our township folks that are in this with us. What I have learned and am a very strong believer in is that our township truly does want what is best for ALL of us. We, the board, really appreciate the collaboration and discussions.

This makes us feel anchored in the path our township is heading. I could talk about roads, garbage, nuisance ordinances etc., but as this year comes to a close, I am choosing to be appreciative and thankful for what we got going on here in Turtle River Township! We hope with the newsletter, emails, Facebook page, and Turtle River website, the disseminated information continues to be widely available.

So with a tip o' the cap, I send 2025 into the past and welcome 2026 as a productive year for the township. Thank you for supporting us and remember, your input matters.
