County 2 update October 10
CSAH 20 project update. Excavation and embankment on the first phase is complete. With so many loads of material that had to be hauled out and back, we are happy to get to this point. The contractor is now installing centerline culverts, those that are under the road. When that is done they will then start hauling gravel on this west section. Work on the surcharge has not progressed very well. Surcharge work will continue as allowed and this will likely continue after the rest of phase one is complete. The contractor has begun constructing the trail east of Hazelwood. The contractor plans to continue working on the entire length of the trail so that should take shape this week. As a reminder, please use caution if you are driving in the section where the contractor's large off-road trucks are hauling (from Hazelwood to just east of Tall Pines).If you ever have any questions please send us an email or give us a call at (218) 333-8173.Beltrami County Highway Department
